Macron: “We Are Studying Visa Applications For Algerians Flexibly”

French President, Emmanuel Macron, said on Wednesday he had instructed not to reject visas of Algerian journalists, intellectuals, writers and businessmen.

On the sidelines of the inauguration of CEVITAL projects in CharleVille-Mézière, Ardennes, France, for the production unit of high-quality clean water machines, the French president explained that “the file of the visa and the freedom of movement of persons is under discussion with the Algerian authorities”, asserting that “Paris is not against the movement of people to France”.

“We are studying the visa application files for the Algerians in a very flexible way. The instructions in this regard come as a measure to maintain the strength of the relationship between the two countries. Agreements are clear between the two countries on granting visas to those wishing to visit France”.

French president revealed that he looks forward to a close meeting with President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, as soon as possible.

On the other hand, French President, Emmanuel Macron, considered the investments of the Algerian businessman, Ysaad Rabrab, on the French soil, as very important.

“France will accompany and support the investments of CEVITAL company on its soil”.

Cevital project, of its owner Ysaad Rebrab, is expected to create 1000 jobs in the city of CharleVille-Mézière in the French suburbs of Paris.

Early this week, Mr. Rabrab met with the French president, where he discussed the future projects of Cevital company in France.

Following the acquisition of the French companies Axo and Brandt, the Civital Group is strengthening its presence in France by launching new industrial projects in the city of CharleVille-Mézière in Ardennes.

These projects, which will create more than 1,000 jobs in the region and in particular the PSA’s former site, consist of three industrial units for the manufacture of membranes, ultra-pure water plants, seawater desalination and industrial water treatment using EvCon, a revolutionary German technology that is owned by Cevital.
